Formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for All Life Stages.
Feeding Guidelines: Serve as is or rehydrate by adding warm water. Your pet should consume 1/4 cup of water per patty daily. New Users: Mix Stella & Chewy's with your current brand for the first 5-7 days.
Transitioning Guidelines: A slow changeover is recommended so that your pet’s digestive system can adjust to the new diet. Begin with a mixture of 25% of Stella & Chewy’s and 75% of the old diet. After feeding your pet that combination for 2-3 days, switch to a 50/50% diet. Again, wait another 2-3 days and then switch to a mixture of 75% Stella & Chewy’s and 25% old diet. After another 2-3 days, you can switch to 100% Stella & Chewy’s. Your pet might experience some digestive issues during this transition period. This is completely normal and will pass.
To protect yourself from bacteria that may be found in raw food, be sure to keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash hands, working surfaces, bowls and utensils that come in contact with raw meat with soap and hot water.

Information on freeze-drying Freeze-drying is a process that enables us to remove the moisture from our products without cooking. The product is first frozen and then put into a freeze dryer. Inside the freeze dryer, powerful pumps create a vacuum and extremely cold temperatures. Very low levels of heat are applied to the shelves on which the trays of product sit, enabling the ice within the meat to "sublimate" directly into water vapor, skipping the liquid stage. The product changes from frozen to freeze-dried without ever being thawed or cooked, thereby retaining all of the nutritional value of raw meat, minus the water. With Stella & Chewy's Freeze-Dried Dinners and Treats, you get the best of both worlds; the benefits of raw food with the convenience of a dry food.
The first raw meals and treats that are safe for your family and pet.
Of course, we know that you’re concerned about bringing a raw diet home for your pet. So you’ll be pleased to know that Stella & Chewy’s products are produced with our exclusive SecureByNature food safety process (patent pending), designed to make them safe from harmful bacteria naturally while retaining the food’s nutrient value and flavor. Plus, every batch we make is tested before packaging.
Hydrostatic High Pressure (HHP) is a technology that “puts the squeeze” on food pathogens without cooking out vital nutrients or changing the natural taste. It’s based on the discovery that bacteria cannot survive at pressures five times those found at the deepest sea level. To date, HHP is the only scientifically recognized pasteurization process that does not use heat or irradiation to accomplish this. But that’s just one of the steps we take to protect the health of your family and pet.
Dedicated manufacturing plant. All Stella & Chewy’s products are produced, from start to finish, at our own federally-inspected plant in Muskego, Wisconsin.
Clean ingredients. All of our farmers and suppliers provide Letters of Guaranty stating that their meats and produce are fresh, are unadulterated and in full compliance with all applicable federal regulations.
Clean machines. We go far beyond the letter of the law when it comes to keeping our operation clean. Unlike many pet food companies, we clean and sanitize our equipment at the end of every day.
HACCP compliance. We strictly follow Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point Guidelines, a prevention-based food safety system established by the FDA and USDA.
Advanced oxidation cells. To further prevent contamination by surface and air-borne pathogens during processing, we use a series of devices that emit low levels of safe, pathogen-fighting gases such as ozone and hydrogen peroxide.
Independent laboratory testing. Not only do we have state-of-the-art food safety systems in place, but every batch is tested before shipping. We send samples to an independent laboratory to be tested for E. coli O157:H7 and Salmonella.
