FRONTLINE® Plus for Cats & *Kittens provides fast, effective and convenient treatment and control of fleas and ticks for cats and kittens.  (*Kittens must be 8 weeks or older.)  FRONTLINE® Plus stops and prevents infestations and kills adult fleas, flea eggs, and flea larvae; prevents all flea stages--eggs, larvae, pupae--from developing; kills fleas which may cause flea allergy dermatitis; kills all stages of deer ticks (which may carry Lyme disease), brown dog ticks, American dog ticks, and lone star ticks & prevents and controls reinfestations.  Ticks are more than a nuisance--in some cases they may transmit serious diseases to your cat (or even to you).  To kill ticks that may carry and transmit these serious diseases, count on the control element of FRONTLINE® Plus.

FRONTLINE® Plus For Cats contains fipronil and the insect growth regulator (IGR) (S)-methoprene.  Insect growth regulators interrupt or inhibit the life cycle of a pest.  Flea eggs and flea larvae that are exposed to (IGR) (S)-methoprene will never develop into the adult jumping, biting and (most importantly) reproducing fleas.  FRONTLINE® Plus effectively targets all stages of fleas.  Fipronil collects in the oils of the skin and hair follicles, and continues to be released from hair follicles onto the skin and coat, resulting in long-lasting activity against fleas and ticks.

FRONTLINE® Plus for Cats is waterproof, since the active ingredient in this product is stored in the oil glands in the skin, from which it is continuously released onto cats' fur.  FRONTLINE® remains truly waterproof for 30 days or longer.  This product is so gentle that it is approved for use on kittens 8 weeks or older.  It is also approved for breeding, pregnant and lactating cats.  For best flea and tick control, apply FRONTLINE® Plus monthly throughout the year.  FRONTLINE® does not expire if it remains unopened and is stored properly according to the package instructions.

Application:  Place the applicator tip through your pet's hair to the skin between the shoulder blades. Squeeze the applicator and apply the entire contents in a single spot onto your pet's skin.  FRONTLINE Plus spreads over the pet's body by a process called translocation. When applied, these products are gradually dispersed by the pet's natural oils, collecting in the oil glands in the skin.  It is then "wicked" onto the hair over the next 30 days.  The translocation process can take up to 24 hours to complete.

Research data shows FRONTLINE Brand Products will kill fleas within 12 hours of contact with your treated pet.  Ticks will die within 48 hours of contact with your treated pet.
